About

The Kenya Blockchain Ladies DAO is a collective of diverse Kenyan women in the web3 space, founded as a responsive intervention to bridge the gender divide in Web3 courses and careers.

We invest in advocating for Web3 careers by up-skilling our members through partnerships with Web3 companies that provide free or subsidized training packages.  Our support goes beyond learning and in one instance, we partnered with Jambo Technology to sponsor 14 ladies for professional photo shoots which enabled them to create digital profiles. Moreover, we sponsor our members to attend Web3 and Tech events. This not only gives them exposure to the new trends in the industry but also acts as a platform for building their own networks which they can leverage to create a vibrant ecosystem. We walk the talk in empowering women to pursue and obtain opportunities within the space. Our members’ professions span across being founders, business developers, traders, educators, accountants, marketing consultants, community managers, product managers, lawyers to software and smart contract developers. We got it all!

To sustain the DAO, we provide various services such as event planning and organization. We pride ourselves in hosting an Ethereum Meetup with Vitalik Buterin in Kenya and facilitating the success of other events such as the annual EthSafari, Bitfinex event, Metaverse Summit and many more. We are also great at consultancies, business development, partnerships, merchandising and community engagement. More importantly, we direct positive impact to the general public through our social responsibility projects, such as the distribution of pads to underprivileged girls with the aim of maintaining menstrual hygiene and dignity.
